Dave W. Stanley: 1936 120B Sedan

Dave Stanley, Sevierville, Tennessee, has owned this 1936 120B 4-door sedan for over a decade, but he almost lost it when fire destroyed his garage in October, 2013.  When Dave got his garage rebuilt in July, 2014, he decided it was time to start on the Packard street rod.  The dual side mount Packard has a Dodge Dakota front clip with early (mid 80’s) 5 lug rotors.  Dave installed a 2001 Chev vortec 350 engine, 4L80 transmission and Ford 8″ rear with disc brakes using leaf springs with reversed eyes.  To make room for the heat/air conditioning unit, Dave moved the dash out 2 inches and fabricated a 3 1/2″ vertical extension.  The car is painted light green with tan fenders.  The wide whitewall tires are from Diamond Back Classics.  Dave’s Packard is running and driving and scheduled for upholstery in September.  The bucket seats will be recovered in two tone tan.  The finished project is a beautiful Packard which could have gone up in smoke.  DAVE HAS SOLD THIS PACKARD.
