Bill Jones Jr: 1941 Packard 110 Convertible

IMG_0260 - CopyBill Jones, Jr., Garden City, Kansas, has rebuilt a wrecked 1941 Packard 110 convertible street rod.  The previous owner, an 84 year old man, had a heart attack or stroke and ran the car into the side of a brick home at 20-25 mph.  It totally destroyed the front clip and frame.Bill Jones Jr. 41 Packard Wrecked AS I Got ItBill got a ’41 parts car and changed the frame, had a Fat Man Fabrication sub frame installed, took out the 350 chevy engine and transmission.Firewall PaintedBill installed an LS1 5.3 liter fuel injected Chevy engine and 4L60E AOD transmission.Injected Engine & Tranny Going in 41

Bill got good sheet metal from Max Merritt Packard Parts in Franklin, Indiana, and acquired NOS side grills and vertical grill bars from Max Merritt.Left Front View Grills In

The car got painted ’72 Ford medium bright yellow.IMG_1294 - CopyThe interior has power seats from a ’95 Cadillac Eldorado covered in buckskin leather, Vintage Air heat & AC, tilt wheel and cruise control.IMG_0263 - CopyThe Packard now has four wheel power disc brakes, power rack and pinion steering, tilt and cruise, custom made Truespoke wheels with WWW tires and Packard center medallion, power windows, and buckskin power top.  Bill did everything on the car but paint and body work.IMG_0260 - Copy
